I would like to introduce myself to you as I am the new owner of Proactive Podiatry located at 3578 Broadhead Road in Monaca PA. My name is Dr. Latika Hinduja. I have been in medicine for over 10 years, and I am eager for this opportunity to welcome you as a patient of Proactive Podiatry Associates. I have been honored to take over for Dr. Steven Schaeffer, as he decided to take his podiatric services out of state.
I am proud to be part of our Pittsburgh community. I am an avid Steelers fan, and I frequently volunteer at the Food Bank of Beaver County and Pittsburgh's Sewa chapter(opens in a new tab).

Sheila Cain is the Office Manager and the Certified Podiatric Medical Assistant in our office. She has been a podiatry Medical Assistant Certified since 2016. She is certified in the podiatric technics and terminology and certified in radiograph. She is a graduate of DCI Career Institue where is carried a 4.0 GPA and a graduate of the president list. She completed her externship with Dr. Burk and associates in Monaca Pa. She is a well-known staple at this location.
She worked for The Foot and Ankle Wellness Center of Western Pa. There she was the office Manager for 8 years and ran three offices and assisted three doctors. She also trained all staff front and back office in the proper procedures to elevate them to their true potential in patient care.
Sheila has always been in the medical field in some form or another. She has been a Manger and Supervisor for over 20 years.
She trained all staff front and back office and instilled in the them the knowledge of HIPPA, Patient Care and Curtsey.
Sheila is also our Certified Podiatric Medical Assistant on the floor and you will see her as the personal assistant to Dr. Latika Hinduja.
We are proud to have her as part of our team here at Proactive Podiatry and she is a welcome asset to our practice.
Erica Cain has been working in Podiatry as an Administrative and Medical assistant since 2016. Erica graduated from Beaver Falls High School in 2016 with High Honors and as a member of the National Honors Society. She then went on to study at the Community College of Beaver County where she completed Human Anatomy and Physiology and Early Childhood Development courses. With her education in the Human Anatomy and Physiology she brings the necessary tools to thrive as our medical assistant working in the back office.
She has won awards such as the American Association of University Women (Beaver Valley Branch) Excellence in Science, the American Legion No. 261 Auxiliary Medal Award, and the Charles Pietro Music Award.
Erica worked for The Foot and Ankle Wellness Center of Western PA for 7 years where her podiatry experience started. She enjoys working in this field and helping care for patients. She has been a part of the Proactive Podiatry since 2023.
Erica’s attention to detail and soft voice with a wonderful smile brings smiles to our patients as they are welcomed back to the patient rooms. She has the willingness to work side by side with supervisory staff and team members. With the many years working in podiatry, she also serves our office well, she is multiskilled, able to work the front desk and back office. Having staff that are able to work in any position and work it well is a blessing. We are happy to have her as part of our team here at Proactive Podiatry Services.
Jevah is a licensed Medical Technologist and a Healthcare virtual assistant. She holds certifications in HIPAA compliance and completed her Medical Laboratory Science training, becoming officially registered in 2024.
She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, where she served as class president as well as vice president in the student council throughout her college years and was awarded recognition for her research in 2019 and 2023.
Jevah completed her internship at Bicol Medical Center, gaining hands-on experience by rotating through key departments such as clinical chemistry, hematology, and blood banking. Alongside her academic and clinical training, She also gained skills in customer service and administrative support, which now enhance her ability to assist healthcare teams effectively.
At Proactive Podiatry, Jevah is known for her courteous approach in managing calls, coordinating appointments, and overseeing day-to-day workflows, all carried out with professional care.
